WRCT: A Thank You/Love Letter

We here at WRCT want to extend a tremendous thank you to everyone who fought the good fight during all of Soundtap Madness. When we first found out that we were in this competition, we never imagined we’d make it as far as we did, and we never could have without the amazing community of alumni, members & friends of WRCT. We beat out 62 other stations, we had an amazing 232 listeners at one point, and we narrowed a 140 hour gap in less than 4 hours. But best of all we got new people excited about WRCT. We couldn’t be prouder. So forget the Soundtap Sadness of being in 2nd place.

Thanks to everyone who tuned in, shared links on Facebook, got their friends to listen, and spread the word! You guys are amazing, and it makes us proud to be involved in radio.

Love,
WRCT 88.3FM

Soundtap: The Home Stretch

Time is ticking away and we’re so close to claiming victory in Soundtap Madness. We’ve got a lot of ground to make up, but given last night’s success on the streams, we should be able to truly do this! Keep listening and tell your friends because there’ll be a special program from 1-3 AM for all you folks tuning in.

If you’d like to make any requests, shout out or the like, call 412 621 9728 or instant message wrct883 via AIM to make sure that they go on the air.

And here’s something for the graph lovers amongst you, track us in real time. WRUV has gained some ground on us, so there’s some serious listening to be done. Let’s keep the green above the blue! We know Soundtap has had data collection problems before, so don’t get demoralized by the numbers on their website.
