Special Broadcast: “Pittsburgh Rising”

Portland, Austin, Pittsburgh? Believe it or not, Pittsburgh is a cool place to live. Listen to a special one-off broadcast called “Pittsburgh Rising” to hear why Pittsburgh is the most livable city in the United States. This 10-minute program will air this Wednesday (May 9) at 7:50 a.m. before “Democracy Now.” The show will feature Andy Masich of the Heniz History Center and Rick Sebak of WQED.


Random Schedule

We sincerely hope you have enjoyed our Spring Schedule this year! As with all great things, however, it has come to an end. This means that we now have two weeks of Random Schedule before our Summer Schedule officially begins. Random Schedule has already begun and will continue until May 20.

Be sure to keep your radios tuned in, sit back, and enjoy the randomness — you never know what you’ll hear during Random Schedule.


Buggy 2012 on WRCT!

With the return of Spring Carnival comes live coverage of the Buggy races on WRCT! This year’s Buggy coverage comes to you in cooperation with cmuTV and the CMU Buggy Alumni Association.

Live coverage of the races will be on air and streaming online beginning at 7:30 a.m. on Friday and Saturday. If you’ll be at the races, remember to bring your portable radios and tune in!

Regularly scheduled programming will be preempted during the Buggy broadcast. Listeners tuning in to hear “The Saturday Light Brigade” this Saturday can find a list of SLB affiliate stations and live online streaming at slbradio.org.
