Court’s in Session pays Homage to Jerry Weber

Jerry Weber, former owner of Jerry’s Records passed away late last month.

Jerry’s iconic store brought vinyl fanatics to Pittsburgh from around the world. Jerry’s Records was known throughout the country: National publications praised it as one of the top two or three record shops in the USA; Touring musicians were known to stop by the store when in Pittsburgh. Jerry’s passing is a great loss to the entire music community.

On Court’s In Session this week, Eric Jackson Lurie will pay tribute to Jerry Weber and play a conversation he and Jerry recorded last year. You’ll hear Jerry talk about his store, his famous R. Crumb artwork, his favorite rock ‘n’ roll songs, and even WRCT.

This fascinating interview will air on Court’s In Session Thursday, February 4 shortly after 8:00 p.m. and again Monday, February 7 shortly after noon. Catch it on WRCT 88.3 FM, Pittsburgh, or streaming from this very website.
