Yes vocalist returns to WRCT

Tune in Thursday, August 29, shortly after 8:00 p.m., when Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame inductee Jon Anderson returns to WRCT’s Court’s in Session with new music. 

This month, Jon has released a tremendous new solo album True, and is currently touring the USA to perform music from his long career, including music he wrote and recorded with Yes. On this tour, he’s also performing some of his own music — including tracks from the new album True.

You’ll hear Jon and your rockin’ attorney Eric Jackson Lurie talk about Jon’s new album, the influences on Jon’s music, and the meaning behind some of the songs’ lyrics.

Court’s in Session Gets Sweet

Tune in Thursday night, August 22, shortly after 8:00 p.m., when your Rockin’ Attorney, Eric Jackson Lurie, welcomes Richie Onori and Patrick Alan Stone – drummer and lead singer of legendary British and American glam band Sweet to WRCT’s Court’s In Session!

With over 39 number one hits across the planet, Sweet started their chart run with songs like “Ballroom Blitz,” “Little Willy,” “Fox On the Run,” and “Love Is Like Oxygen”! These songs have hit a new generation of listeners being featured in movies such as Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2, Wayne’s World, and Black Phone.

The band has a new single, “Little Miracle,” that has been burning up the request lines at WRCT. Eric will ask the guys in the band about their new recording and the legacy behind the American and European versions of the band.

Brad Yoder: Preview of August 10 album release party

On July 31, Pittsburgh songwriter Brad Yoder stopped by WRCT during Whiskey Before Breakfast. The interview will be re-broadcast shortly after 9:00 a.m. on Thursday August 8.

During the interview, Brad played and sang four songs live — including three from his new album Somewhere In The Constellation, making its debut at an August 10 album release show at 7:30 p.m. at First Unitarian, 605 Morewood Avenue, in the Shadyside section of Pittsburgh. During the interview, there’s an amusing moment in which Mandorichard proves his ears have aged….
