Underwriting
WRCT’s Underwriting Director can help you today to customize an underwriting package to meet your long- or short-term business needs. By underwriting WRCT you’ll be able to reach a smart, progressive audience that already has a stake in its community. Through underwriting, you can support an individual program (view all of our shows on our Schedule), establish a random rotation schedule for maximum exposure, or sponsor one of our many special events. Submit an underwriting request or contact the Underwriting Director today to talk about supporting WRCT!

Need more reasons to support WRCT?
For a fraction of the cost of commercial airtime, you can effectively reach your target market.
By underwriting WRCT programming, you will reach an important and diverse audience: listeners who are well-informed and involved in the Pittsburgh community. When you choose which programs you want to underwrite, you can direct your messages to the exact type of audience you want to reach.
WRCT is commercial clutter-free.
We air only a few underwriting messages per hour and never more than two back-to-back. Our audience knows that music is only a minute or two away and, because of this, they stay tuned during our brief stops. That means that your message comes through loud and clear, not buried in a group of four- to six-minute long commercials, as is often the case in commercial radio. And because WRCT thanks you for your support, you’re automatically getting an endorsement from the station the listener loves.
Underwriting is not advertising.
Our listeners hear and appreciate underwriting announcements because the underwriting company is supporting a station they love. An underwriting message is really a “thank you” to our sponsor for providing financial and in-kind support for our programs and programming. Research finds that people are more likely to make referrals and first-hand endorsements of companies whom they know. Hearing an underwriter’s name and something about their business, over time, builds the familiarity needed to create these recommendations.
