Spring Schedule Wrap-Up

May 1, 2014 // News

Summer is on its way at long last, but its arrival brings us to the end of the Spring Schedule. We’ve had a lot of great music, talk shows, and live bands this semester. It’s been awesome getting to see all this great content broadcasted throughout Pittsburgh, and I’m truly thankful to everyone who produced, DJ’d, performed, reported, curated, discussed, and listened these past few months.

The Spring Schedule’s last day is officially this Saturday, May the 3rd. Summer Schedule kicks off on the 18th. Everything in between is Random Schedule, so who knows what you’ll hear. Don’t touch your dial.

Midnight Mock: Friday, April 25

April 23, 2014 // Blogs, Events, News

This week’s Midnight Mock on “Viva Le Mock” will be THE EQUALS!  Formed in London in 1965, The Equals featured a young Eddy Grant (Electric Avenue) on vocals and fused pop, blues, and R&B plus elements of ska and bluebeat. Listen to The Mockster play tribute to this iconic band through cover songs and whatever else he feels to see fit Friday (4/25) during “Viva le Mock” (9p-1a) at Midnight.

Pinkney Hall in April

April 1, 2014 // News

On the first Friday in April that promises to be both warm and sunny, we
will play sunny songs. Otherwise, the April editions of Pinkney Hall will
reflect the following themes:

*April 4 *– We will start of April by playing songs about girls.

*April 11* — No show on the 11th! Once again, Kenny Joe’s wanderlust will
be taking him far away from Pittsburgh and the WRCT studios.

*April 18 *– We won’t have a particular theme this Good Friday, but you
might hear a couple tunes appropriate for the occasion.
*April 25–* On April 25, we’ll play tunes by artists born in the month of
April.

In addition, most weeks we play some new music and music by artists who
will be appearing in Pittsburgh.
