Pinkney Hall — May Themes

May 1, 2014
Usually, Pinkney Hall airs live every Friday from 9 AM to 10 AM. However, because of my travel schedule, we will only be on the air three times in May. On each of the three May shows, we will be featuring a particular artist born in May. We play a few songs by or related to that artist along with the usual tunes we play. The three artists are:
May 2 – James Brown
May 9 – Robert Johnson
May 30 – Bob Dylan
If you have any requests, please call 412-621-9728 during the show.

Spring Schedule Wrap-Up

Summer is on its way at long last, but its arrival brings us to the end of the Spring Schedule. We’ve had a lot of great music, talk shows, and live bands this semester. It’s been awesome getting to see all this great content broadcasted throughout Pittsburgh, and I’m truly thankful to everyone who produced, DJ’d, performed, reported, curated, discussed, and listened these past few months.

The Spring Schedule’s last day is officially this Saturday, May the 3rd. Summer Schedule kicks off on the 18th. Everything in between is Random Schedule, so who knows what you’ll hear. Don’t touch your dial.

Midnight Mock: Friday, April 25

April 23, 2014

This week’s Midnight Mock on “Viva Le Mock” will be THE EQUALS!  Formed in London in 1965, The Equals featured a young Eddy Grant (Electric Avenue) on vocals and fused pop, blues, and R&B plus elements of ska and bluebeat. Listen to The Mockster play tribute to this iconic band through cover songs and whatever else he feels to see fit Friday (4/25) during “Viva le Mock” (9p-1a) at Midnight.
