We are preparing 56 hours of non-stop music from our favorite artists, starting at Noon on Friday, February 24, 2023 and continuing all weekend long!
Every half-hour we’ll feature a different artist, handpicked for your listening pleasure by our own station members. It’s a massively diverse set of artists this year. You’ll hear some of your favorite artists, some you’ve forgotten about, and some whose music is brand new to you!

On Thursday, February 23, legendary guitarist Andy Powell of Wishbone Ash joins your Rockin’ Attorney, Eric Jackson Lurie on WRCT’s Court’s in Session. Andy and Eric will be chatting on the air before Wishbone Ash’s February 26 appearance at Club Cafe. That’s right, Andy Powell’s bringing his Flying V to Pittsburgh!
Wishbone Ash was one of the first rock ‘n’ roll bands to establish the dueling lead guitar sound. Spanning twenty-six studio albums, classic songs like “The King Will Come,” “Throw Down the Sword,” and “You See Red” established Ash as one of the most popular European touring acts of the last 50 years.
Andy will be sharing a sneak peak track from the upcoming Wishbone Ash live album, Road Works: Live at Daryl’s House, as well as discussing their American tour and Pittsburgh appearance.

Back in 1976, a Pittsburgh radio DJ gave Kansas‘ “Carry On My Wayward Son” its radio debut. Soon, stations across the country followed Pittsburgh’s lead, making that song a truly global megahit. That was the beginning of a mutual love affair between the band Kansas and Pittsburgh music fans.
Tune in to WRCT Thursday, February 9 at 8:00 p.m. when when Kansas bassist and vocalist Billy Greer joins Eric Jackson Lurie on Court’s in Session. Eric and Billy will talk about Kansas’ new triple album, a retrospective called A Fork in the Road, their new single, and their upcoming 50th anniversary tour — that kicks off in Pittsburgh June 2 at the Benedum!
